Overview
This comprehensive course combines Autodesk Revit MEP training with essential Project Management
skills, aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of managing complex building systems
projects. Participants will gain expertise in Revit MEP, an integrated tool for designing, analyzing, and
documenting building systems, while also learning fundamental Project Management techniques tailored for construction and engineering projects.
The course starts with an introduction to Autodesk Revit MEP, including its interface and essential
features, and covers in-depth training on mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems design.
Complementing this, the course integrates a cutting-edge module on AI Tools for Engineering,
empowering participants to harness AI for optimizing designs, automating repetitive tasks, and improving project outcomes. By the end of this course, participants will be able to apply Revit MEP skills effectively within the context of managing complex projects, thus preparing them to handle both technical and managerial aspects of building system design and implementation.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Navigate and use the Revit MEP interface for creating and modifying MEP models.
2. Create, design, and document mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within a BIM workflow.
3. Analyze MEP systems for energy performance, load calculations, duct pressure loss, and compliance with industry standards.
4. Design fire protection systems, including fire pump assemblies and sprinklers, and create fire alarm
plans.
5. Collaborate effectively with architects and other engineering disciplines using Revit’s BIM tools.
6. Produce accurate 2D and 3D documentation for MEP systems, including callout views, section views, and sheets.
7. Create custom Revit families and templates to streamline workflows.
