Beyond Mobile Money; Empowering Africa’s Unbanked

Lead Moderator

 

Sami Tunji

Sami Tunji is a writer, researcher, and literary enthusiast. He holds a BA from the University of Lagos, an FMVA from the Corporate Finance Institute, and is pursuing an MBA at the Quantic School of Business and Technology. His nonfiction was recognized by the Igby Prize (2019) and longlisted for the Punocracy Prize (2020). His journalism was shortlisted for the PuC Media Excellence Awards (2023). Formerly a business correspondent for Punch Newspaper, Sami is now a financial analyst at Nairametrics and an African Liberty Writing Fellow (2023/24).

Mwangala Mwale

Mwangala Mwale is a seasoned researcher specializing in qualitative research methods, with six years of experience. She holds an undergraduate degree in environmental education and a Master of Science in global health. She has worked on numerous studies involving diverse populations across various community settings, organizations, and health facilities.

 

Ismail Olaniyan

Ismail Olaniyan is a Tech professional with over a decade-long career, leading IT Infrastructure initiatives in both commercial and non-profit sectors. He is passionate about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability in Technology and Innovation.

Mesiet William

Mesiet William Kamihanda is an assistant lecturer at Mwalim Nyerere Memorial Academy and a PhD candidate researching International Business in emerging African economies. Her work focuses on how African multinational enterprises use sustainability to drive inclusive growth and implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

 

Ifeoluwa Adekunle

Ifeoluwa Adekunle-Yusuf, VP of Product and Engineering at Zest (Stanbic IBTC Holdings), is a seasoned product leader with 11 years at Guaranty Trust Bank. She holds a BSc and MBA from the University of Lagos and a Product Management Certificate from Singapore Management University. She is passionate about tech-driven financial solutions and supports women’s empowerment and education initiatives.

 

Sunday Olaleye

Sunday Adewale Olaleye is a Finnish Certified Teacher and Senior Lecturer at Jamk University of Applied Sciences, Finland. He holds a Doctor of Science in Marketing from the University of Oulu and has various degrees from Abo Akademi University, Lapland University, and the University of Washington.
He is a visiting scholar at the University of Texas at Austin and a visiting professor at UDLAP in Mexico. Sunday has taught at multiple levels, presented at conferences, published in journals, and co-founded Dilinet Oy. He has received several international funding awards and recognitions.

Kenza Benlhabib

Kenza is a corporate trader in forex and commodities at Attijariwafa Bank Group. In this dynamic role, she has sharpened her market analysis and negotiation skills, positioning herself as a rising star in the financial industry.
She has a Master’s degree in corporate finance and has hosted numerous impactful webinars and roundtables on various economic and social issues.
